About MIMS
Maharajah’s Institute of Medical Sciences and General Hospital is established in the year 2003-2004. Situated amidst pristine surroundings at Nellimarla in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh, Maharajah’s Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) is the first and only Teaching Hospital of its kind in these areas. It is operational with 740 beds with all basic specialties and super specialties.

Services Offered
- This counter is functioning round the clock
- Two staff are working on duty at two counters
- One counter is exclusively for giving patient related information especially for IP Patients
- The other counter is for processing indoor admissions and issue of attendance passes.
- Floor signage boards are placed at various places in this hospital
- Fire evacuation route / fire escape route maps are placed at each floor
- Casuality Medical Officer ( CMO ) is available round the clock
- Specialist doctors are available on call from resident doctors
- Head of dept’s are available on call from specialists, if required
- Initial assessment of patient will be done in less than 5 min
- Emergency services are available of all specialists as listed in the OPD services with immediate facility, stretchers, wheelchairs etc.
- Orthopedic emergency, burns and plastic and neurosurgery OT are available
- Emergency Operation theater are functional 24hrs
- In serious cases treatment/management gets priority over paper work like registration and medico legal requirements
- The decision rests with the treating doctor/CMO
- Causality is well equipped with central oxygen supply and ventilators and crash kart
- A separate Triage area is located for mass causality / disaster response
