Medical Education

There is a Medical Education Unit for faculty development and for providing teaching/ learning resource material. This department is headed by a MEU coordinator with 11 MEU faculty. The faculty undergo basic and advanced course workshop in Medical Education Technology at the allocated MCI Regional Centre. The MEU conduct workshops in Medical Education Technology regularly for the faculty members.

• 7 faculty attended APMEDOCON 2013 at SVMC, Tirupathi.
• 6 faculty (teachers) of MIMS attended 2nd A.P.State Conference on MET at Mamatha Medical College, Khammam on 28th& 29th Jan., 2012.
• 24 teachers of MIMS attended 1st A P State Conference on MET at Andhra Medical College Visakhapatnam on 22/01/2011 and 23/01/2011.

• ATCOM Sensitization Module conducted at AMC on 16th & 19th Feb., 2016.
•  Hands on Workshop on Surgical Suturing conducted at MIMS on 4th Feb., 2016.
• Research Methodology Workshop at MIMS on 16th & 17th Nov., 2015.
• 2nd Basic MET (MCI) Workshop at MIMS from 29/06/15 to 01/07/15.
• Workshop on Research Methodology conducted at MIMS on 28th-30th October, 2014 by facilitators from Sri Venkateswara Medical College, Tirupati for all the Post-Graduates and Faculty members.
• Basic course Workshop on MET at MIMS under Regional Centre 4th – 6th June, 2014
• Faculty for the Level I Training/Workshop:- 3 Guest faculty from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam and 3 Faculty of M.E.Cell, MIMS.
