Duration of M. B. B. S Course

Duration of the course is 4 years and 6 months as per the Academic Calendar of MIMS followed by 1 year of Compulsory Rotatory Internship.

How to Apply

The candidates who have qualified in NEET UG and who want to study in medical colleges of Andhra Pradesh have to register in Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences through online. Dr. YSR UHS MBBS Merit list, Dr. YSR UHS Counseling date and Information Bulletin and other details can be accessed from Dr. YSR UHS website  http://ysruhs.edu.in

Eligibility

  • The Eligible candidates, who have qualified and secured minimum percentile in NEET UG.
  • The candidate should have passed Intermediate (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Biotechnology and English.
  • OC candidates should obtain not less than 50% marks in science subjects.
  • BC/SC/ST candidates should obtain not less than 40% marks in science subjects.
  • OC PH candidates should obtain not less than 45% marks in science subjects.
  • The candidate should have qualified in NEET UG conducted by National Testing Agency, New Delhi.
  • The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31-12-2019. The candidates born on or after 02-01-2003 are not eligible for admission into MBBS Courses and they need not apply for the counseling.

Category Wise Seats

A – Category – 50% – 100 seats
B – Category – 35% – 70 seats
C – Category – 15% – 30 seats

Seats Distribution

The number and distribution of seats may vary depending upon the periodic directives / decisions from competent authorities

NUMBER OF SEATS AVAILABLE FOR MIMS -200

Category –A seats (50% of the sanctioned intake of the seats)

These seats shall be filled in through the counseling by the committee constituted by competent authority as per merit from the candidates who are qualified at the common entrance test ( NEET) for that year following the rules of reservation.

Category – B seats (35% of the sanctioned intake of the seats)

The seats shall be filled through the counseling by the committee for admission constituted by APMDCMA as per the merit from the candidates who are qualified at NEET held by a third party employed for the purpose by the managements association for that year as per the procedure that may be prescribed in this regard.

Category – C seats (15% NRI quota)

These seats shall be filled by the managements of the individual institutions or the committee of the managements based on NEET Rank.

Documents to be produced at the time of Counseling conducted by Dr. NTR UHS

  • Admit Card of NEET UG
  • Rank card of NEET UG
  • SSC or equivalent examination showing the Date of Birth
  • Memorandum of marks of qualifying examination in Intermediate or Equivalent examination.
  • Transfer certificate
  • Study Certificate(s) from 6th class to Intermediate.
  • In case candidates studied in the institutions outside the state of Andhra Pradesh, a residence certificate of the candidate or either of the parent issued by MRO / Tahsildar. (excluding study period outside the state) for a period of 10 years (years of period to be specified).
  • In case candidates claiming eligibility of reservation under Special categories should furnish the required certificate in support of their claim
  • Permanent Caste Certificate (Integrated Community Certificate) claiming reservation under BC/SC/ST Categories issued by an Officer prescribed
  • In case claiming fee exemption, the latest Income certificate of the Parent issued by MRO / Tahsildar or white ration card.
  • Aadhar Card
  • Minority certificate issued by Minorities Welfare Department, Government of AP
